New START Location for This Week's Team Training Ride

Please see the Team Calendar for details of the new start location as well as maps

Welcome to EMCycling.com!

The ExxonMobil Cycling Team pulls together riders of all abilities to promote the sport of cycling for fun, fitness and community involvement.  We try to ride year round, and our big push each year is the BP MS 150 from Houston to Austin.

Improving rider safety is a key focus of the Team.  This is accomplished by special attention being placed on Safety Training as well as proper Conditioning Training. The Team web site provides a thorough on-line resource for cycling safety and training information. In addition to suggested ride routes to help you get ready, information can also be found to help the New Rider prepare a training plan.

Keep an eye on the Team Updates (Last Updated February 3rd) and the Team Calendar to stay current on all Team Sponsored Events, Training Rides, Safety Classes and a Complete Listing of MS 150 Recommended Rides.

Team Training Ride Season is in Full Swing!

Our next Team Training ride is set for Saturday, February 13th and we'll be moving our Training Series to the Northwest, riding the popular Zube Park route.  Planned distances are 26, 36, 46 or 56 miles.

Please note that this week's ride starts at 8:00 am.  Plan to arrive at the start point by 7:30 am to sign-in and participate in the Safety Briefing.

Our Team will be hosting this week's ride.  So, come out and show your support!  We might be able to use a few more folks for a few areas .  If you want to ride, but also could help "if we need you", please bring their bikes - ready to ride - and we'll "tap you out" if we determine we need a few more "hands".  Please e-Mail Ride Coordinator Jim Robin and let him know if you can be available to help.

Check the Team Calendar for maps to the start location as well as a complete listing of all rides in this year's Training Series and MS 150 Recommended rides.  Bring the Family and get to know some of the riders that you'll be on the road with.  Remember, Safety helmets are always required, and don't forget to dress appropriately for the weather.

Please be sure to RSVP for the rides to help us plan for adequate support.   Hope to see you there!

Team Membership Registration is Open!

The ExxonMobil Cycling Team member registration process for the 2009-2010 cycling season is now open!  We will again use a web-based registration process.  Registration can be used for both Riders and Volunteers.

  • Team membership registration is separate and distinct from any registration related to the MS 150.  Registration as an ExxonMobil Cycling Team member does not register you for the MS 150, but does allow you to obtain the benefits of our Team, including a custom Team cycling jersey
  • Membership benefits include Fully Supported Training Ride Series, Free Safety Training Classes to help prepare for the road ahead and Phenomenal Coordination for the MS 150 Bike Tour in April
  • For details check out the Team Membership Registration page

Visit the MS 150 Team Participant and Donation Center to see how the Team is progressing towards this year's MS 150 Team Fund-Raising Goal.

Support Our Sponsoring Bike Shops

The Team Discount Program is available to members and represents a great value to our members.  The sponsoring bike shops not only provide discounts to our members, but they also donate great amounts of time to help and support our Training Series rides, as well as performing bike inspections at our Team Safety Picnic. They also provide support along the route during the MS 150 and at our tent in La Grange.

Some shops require a discount card, which can obtained by following the simple instructions on the Team Discount Program page.  Please check the page for a list of participating shops and the offers they have graciously extended to our Team.

Let's support those who support our Team!
